The present writ petition has been filed for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 from in any manner permitting the third respondent to grow fish in Kankankulam and Guruvankulam tanks situated at Kodangipatti village, Theni District, and to conduct the tender for allotment of fishing rights in the above two tanks in accordance with law. 2.

Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the relief sought for in this writ petition has become infructuous.
