Respondent/Appellant Prayer :- Criminal Original Petition filed under section 482 of Cr.P.C to direct the IV Additional District Judge, Tirunelveli to expedite the Criminal Appeal in Crl.A.No.62 of 2019 on the file of the IV Additional District Judge, within the stipulated period as fixed by this court ORDER:- This Petition coming up for hearing on this day and upon perusing the earlier order of this Court dated 06.11.2019 and the requisition letter of the IV Additional District and Sessions Judge, Tirunelveli in D.No.968/2020 dated 07.09.2020 and upon hearing the argument of Mr.G.Aravinthan, Advocate for the petitioner, this court made the following order.

By order dated 06.11.2019, this Court directed the Court below to dispose of Crl.A.No.62 of 2019 within a period of six months from the date of receipt of copy of the order.

2.The Court below has submitted a letter in D.No.968/2020 dated 07.09.2020 wherein, it is stated that pursuant to the order of this Court in Crl.O.P(MD)No.15917/2019, dated 06.11.2019, connected case in Crl.R.C.No.18/2019 was posted along with Crl.A.No.62 of 2019 for arguments and thereafter due to Covid-19 lockdown, the cases were adjourned and thereafter, as per the direction of this Court dated 01.09.2020, to expedite the disposal of C.A.62/2019, the respondent side were heard and on 09.09.2020, the case was posted for appellant side argument. Therefore, the learned Judge requested for extension of three months to comply with the above order dated 06.11.2019. 3.There is no objection on the side of the petitioners in extending the time limit.

4.Therefore, three months time is extended from the date of receipt of this order to comply with the order dated 06.11.2019.
