This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking for a direction to the respondents herein to grant permission and to provide police protection to conduct the Kabaddi Competition from 16.09.2023 to 18.09.2023, by considering the representation given by the petitioner, dated 31.08.2023.
2. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner has made a representation to the respondent Police on 31.08.2023 seeking permission and for providing protection for conducting kabaddi competition and the same is still pending for consideration. Since tournament is scheduled from 16.09.2023 to 18.09.2023, the petitioner sought for suitable directions to the respondent Police.

3.Learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) submitted that they are prepared to provide the necessary protection, provided, the organizers following the conditions issued by the police.

Considering the submissions made by learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), this Writ Petition is disposed of, directing the petitioner to approach the respondent Police afresh and file application by giving all the details in respect of the hygiene, play grounds, accommodation to the players, toilets, medical facilities like ambulance, food, refreshment etc and on being satisfied only, the respondent Police are directed to consider the same and pass appropriate orders by keeping in view of the law and order situation prevailing in that area.
