ORDER

The prayer sought for in this writ petition is to effect change of name in the electricity service connection based upon the petitioner's application and also the further communication issued by the first respondent dated 30.07.2016.

2. Heard Mr.U.Antony Santhosh, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.S.Deenadhayalan, learned Standing Counsel for the first respondent. None appears for the respondents 2 and 3.

3. In spite of the notice sent to the third respondent, his name is printed in the cause list. However, none appears on behalf of him.

4. However, considering the claim made by the petitioner and also taking into account of the fact that the application of the petitioner is still pending, the 2/4

first respondent shall consider the application of the petitioner seeking for name transfer of electricity service connection in S.C.No.055060080270 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity to the third respondent herein.

5. With the above directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
