O R D E R

By this writ petition, the petitioner sought a direction to restrain the respondents 2 and 3 from drawing an electricity line above the patta land of the petitioner.

2. Both learned Special Government Pleader for the first respondent and learned Standing Counsel for TANGEDCO submit that an electricity line was erected over the patta land of the petitioner. Learned Standing Counsel for TANGEDCO submits, on instructions, that if an application is submitted by the petitioner to the second respondent seeking compensation, such application would be duly considered.

3. By taking note of the subsequent developments, W.P(MD).No.17641 of 2016 is disposed of by permitting the petitioner to submit a representation to the second respondent seeking compensation in relation to the use of his patta land for the purpose of erecting the electricity line. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected W.M.P(MD).No.12740 of 2016 is closed.
