ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to issue a legal heir certificate to the petitioner on account of the death of the petitioner's father, namely, Moideen Batcha, son of Sikkandhar Rowther, who died on 21.04.2017, based on the petitioner's representation dated 14.03.2025.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submits that the petitioner has not furnished details of the other legal heirs. Unless the petitioner produces the necessary documents regarding the other legal heirs of the late Moideen Batcha, son of Sikkandhar Rowther, who died on 21.04.2017, the application for issuance of a legal heir certificate cannot be considered.

3. The submission of the learned Government Advocate appears to be fair. Therefore, no positive direction can be issued to the respondents to grant a legal heir certificate solely on the basis of the representation dated 14.03.2025. However, the petitioner is at liberty to furnish the requisite particulars, in which event, the respondents 2/4

shall consider the same and issue an appropriate legal heir certificate after conducting due enquiry with the neighbours and other concerned persons regarding the death of the petitioner's father, Moideen Batcha, son of Sikkandhar Rowther.
