ORDER

The writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the third respondent to transfer Patta in the name of the petitioner in respect of the land situated in R.S.No.47/17, with an extent of 3.7 cents, in Suriyur Village, Viralimalai Taluk, Pudukkottai District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 07.08.2025. 2.Heard the arguments of Mr.T.Wins, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.M.Gangatharan, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents. By consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 3.According to the petitioner, the subject property originally

belonged to her husband, Renger. The Natham patta for the said property was issued in the name of the petitioner's husband in Patta No.310. After the death of her husband, the petitioner and her son have been in possession and enjoyment of the subject property. The petitioner submitted a representation before the respondents on 07.08.2025, seeking transfer of the patta in her name. The same has not been considered. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court. 4.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that the representation submitted by the petitioner will be considered in accordance with law.

5.After death of the petitioner's husband, the petitioner, in her capacity as legal heir, is entitled to succeed to the property along with other legal heirs, if any. Therefore, the petitioner is entitled to transfer of patta in her name. Accordingly, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 07.08.2025 and pass final orders on its own merits within a period of twelve weeks from the

date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
