PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 & 2 herein to conclude the enquiry in respect of the land comprised in Sur.No.132/3A situated Poothipuram, Thavasithevanapatti, Usilampatti Taluk, Madurai District within a stipulated time period in accordance with law on the basis of the representation dated 19.12.2022, 15.05.2023 and 10.07.2023.

The petitioner with a grievance that his application before the Revenue Divisional Officer under the Patta Passbook Act has not been considered has filed this writ petition.
2. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 & 2 submitted that on the direction of the Revenue Divisional Officer, the Tahsildar has conducted an enquiry and submitted a report and therefore, decision would taken within a reasonable time.
3. Recording the submission of the learned Additional Government Pleader this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the Revenue Divisional Officer to take a decision and pass orders within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
