on the file of the first respondent Police and quash the same insofar as the petitioner is concerned.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the marriage between the petitioner and the defacto complainant took place in the year 2006 and out of wedlock, two children were born. One Yasodha who is the daughter of the Accountant of the petitioner's Auditor Officer, is having illegal conduct with the petitioner and she had conspired with the other accused persons and had made attempts to grab the properties which were stood in the name of the defacto complainant and threatened the defacto complainant with dire consequences. Hence, the complaint.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that though the petitioner is the husband of the defacto complainant, no allegation has been made against the petitioner and the petitioner is taking care of his wife and the children. However, it would suffice if this Court directs the first respondent Police to conclude the investigation and directs the concerned Deputy Superintendent of Police to monitor the investigation conducted by the first respondent Police. 2/4

In view of the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the first respondent Police to conclude the investigation in Crime No.566 of 2021 within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The concerned Deputy Superintendent of Police is directed to monitor the investigation conducted by the first respondent Police.
