ORDER
The petitioners seek to quash the Charge Sheet in C.C.No.110 of 2025 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate Court, Manapparai, Trichy District, which has been filed for the offences under Section 498(A), 448 and 354 of IPC.
2. The allegation in the final report is that due to matrimonial dispute between the first petitioner and the defacto complainant, the petitioners had committed cruelty upon the defacto complainant and had trespassed into her house and also assaulted her with intent to outrage her modesty and thus, committed the aforesaid offences.

Admittedly, the first petitioner is husband and the second petitioner is mother-in-law of the second respondent and they have now entered into a compromise and decided to give a quietus to the entire dispute. The parties have filed a joint compromise memo dated 8th September 2025 and the scanned copy of the compromise memo reads as follows: 2/8

The petitioners, namely, Senthilkumar (Aadhaar No.3806 0242 4554), Selvarani (Aadhaar No.5958 7954 3321) and the second respondent, namely, Veni (Aadhaar No.9212 4466 5382) are present before this Court in person. They are identified by Mr.Preethika Priya, Women Grade 1 Police, Manapparai Police Station, Trichy District. All the parties confirmed the compromise arrived at between them.
5. In view of the same and considering the nature of the offences and the relationship between the parties, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served by keeping the impugned final report pending trial. Accordingly, the impugned Charge Sheet in C.C.No.110 of 2025 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate Court, Manapparai, Trichy District is quashed and the Criminal Original Petition stands allowed.
