ORDER
The petitioner son died due to an accident, on 02.05.2024. Therefore, the petitioner's daughter-in-law has lodged a complaint, based on which, a case in Cr.No.166 of 2024 has been registered. The petitioner has filed this petition seeking a direction to complete the investigation in the said case and to file the final report, within a time frame.
2.The learned Government Advocate(Crl.side) appearing for the respondents submits that the petitioner's son died in an accident, on 02.05.2024, at about 10.15 pm., while he was walking along with his friends. The friends, who have accompanied with the deceased, have not noticed the number of the vehicle, which has hit the deceased. Therefore, they were not in a position to fix the accused. He further submits that 13 witnesses have been examined so far and they have also collected CCTV footages from nearby shops of the place of occurrence. However, they were not in a position to detect the accused. 2/4
3.The petitioner is directed to appear before the respondent Police and shall furnish the materials, if any available with her. The respondent Police is expected to scrutinize the footages and verify with the friends, who have accompanied with the deceased on the date of occurrence and try to find out the real culprits. Accordingly, this criminal original petition is closed.
