Prayer : Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 528 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, to call for the first information report in connection with crime No.45 of 2025 on the file of the Inspector of Police, Sedapatti Police Station, Madurai District and quash the same as illegal and devoid of merits.

ORDER

The petitioner has approached this court to quash the FIR registered against him in Crime No.45 of 2025 on the file of the 1st respondent.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that without any materials the petitioner has been casually added as an accused in this case.

3.The learned Government Advocate (crl side) appearing for the respondent police submits that there is a specific overt act as against the petitioner. Further they have completed the investigation and are likely to file the final report by tomorrow.

4.Recording the above submission, this criminal original petition is closed. The petitioner is at liberty to challenge the final report in the manner known to law. Mere filing of the final report is not sufficient, the respondent police shall ensure that the final report is taken on file without any delay. Consequently connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
