Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, for a direction, directing the respondents to disburse the sum of Rs.14043346/- (One Crore Forty Lakhs Forty Three Thousand and Three Hundred and Forty Six) for the works carried out in the Chellampatti Union in accordance with the permission granted by the third respondent along with proportionate interest within the time period stipulated by this Court.

ORDER
This Writ Petition is filed for Mandamus, directing the respondents to disburse the sum of Rs.1,40,43,346/- (One Crore Forty Lakhs Forty Three Thousand and Three Hundred and Forty Six only) for the works carried out in the Chellampatti Union in accordance with the permission granted by the third respondent along with proportionate interest. 2/5

When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that pending Writ Petition, the respondents have considered the claim of the petitioner and disbursed the amount of Rs.1,05,46,670/- (Rupees One Crore Five Lakh Forty Six Thousand Six Hundred and Seventy only).
3. However, the balance amount is payable. Therefore, this Court directs the third respondent to consider the petitioner's claim and pay the balance amount within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
