This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 21.10.2021, wherein, the petitioner has sought for the adjustment of the excess payment made by the petitioner towards the current consumption charges.

3. The issue involved in this Writ Petition is squarely covered by the order passed by this Court in a batch of Writ Petitions in W.P. (MD)No.7678 of 2020 etc. dated 14.08.2020. This order has been subsequently followed in many cases and the relief has been granted. 2/4

In view of the above, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 21.10.2021 in the light of the earlier order passed by this Court and the excess payment made by the petitioner shall be adjusted towards the current consumption charges.
