For Petitioners : Mr.S.Visvalingam For Respondents : Mr.S.R.A.Ramachandran Addl. Government Pleader for R1 Mr.R.Satheesh Standing Counsel for TWAD Board for R2 COMMON ORDER This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's appeal dated 26.05.2025 against the orders passed by the Managing Director, TWAD Board, Chennai in his letter No.F.P3/03868/pen/2025 and letter No. F.P3/03866/pen/2025, dated 09.05.2025.
2.Heard the learned counsel for the parties. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. The petitioners' grievance is that though they were paid salary for the period from 01.12.1992 to 25.10.1995, no entries have been made in their 2/5
Service Registers on the ground that the payments made pursuant to the orders of the Labour Court, Madurai, cannot be treated as service rendered by the petitioners. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioners preferred appeals before the first respondent on 26.05.2025. Since the said appeals are still pending, the petitioners seek an expeditious disposal of the same.
4. Considering the limited request of the petitioners, this Court directs the first respondent to dispose of the appeals both dated 26.05.2025, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, these Writ Petitions are disposed of. No costs.
