ORDER

The writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to dispose of the revision petition in Na.Ka.Aa.5/9641/2023 dated 12.05.2023.

2. Heard the arguments of Mr.S.Kadarkarai, learned counsel for the petitioner, and Mr.A.Baskaran, learned Additional Government Pleader, for the respondents. Since no adverse order is going to be passed against the 5th respondent, notice to him is dispensed with. By consent of both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. According to the petitioner, the property comprised in S.No.342/4, situated at A. Lakshmipuram Village, Vembakottai Taluk, is classified as Government Poramboke land, and a Village Community Hall has been constructed thereon. During the UDR scheme, patta for the subject property was erroneously issued in the name of the fifth respondent. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation before the third respondent seeking rectification of the mistake that had crept in during the UDR scheme. The 2/5

third respondent dismissed the petitioner's claim. Hence, the petitioner preferred a revision before the second respondent on 12.05.2023 and the same has been considered. However, no final order has been passed. Hence, the petitioner has approached this Court.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for respondents 1 to 4, submits that the petitioner has already filed his written submissions and that the second respondent is awaiting the written submissions of the fifth respondent.

In view of the fact that the enquiry has already been completed and the matter is pending for submission of written arguments by the fifth respondent, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, is inclined to direct the second respondent to consider the revision pending on his file in Na.Ka.Aa.5/9641/2023 dated 12.05.2023, and pass final orders on its own merits, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording reasonable opportunity to the petitioner as well as the fifth respondent. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
