(D)No.405, Home (Prison IV) Department dated 10.05.2016 and quash the same and consequently direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's son for premature release by considering petitioner's representation dated 24.03.2016.

ORDER

The son of the petitioner was convicted and sentenced to undergo life imprisonment in S.C.No.20 of 1996 by the learned Principal Sessions Judge, Tanjore, dated 30.08.1996. Thereafter, the petitioner herein has made a representation on 24.03.2016, seeking premature release based on G.O.Ms.No.1155 of 2008, dated 11.09.2008.

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents today (21.05.2020) represents that the Government has released the petitioner on 25.08.2018, pursuant to the celebration https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/4

W.P.(MD)No.19155 of 2016 of first centenary of former Chief Minister Dr.M.G.Ramachandran. Therefore, this Writ Petition has become infructuous. 3.Recording the same, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
