For Petitioner : Mr.T.A Ebenezer For R1 & R-2 : Mr.S.Madhavan, Government Advocate (Criminal Side) O RDER This Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. seeking for a direction to the respondent Police to provide Police protection to the petitioner on the basis of a representation, dated 01.09.2023.

2. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner has got his land surveyed and when the boundary stones have been fixed, the unofficial respondent Nos.3 to 7, who are rowdy elements, have threatened him with dire consequences and not permitted him to fix the boundary stones stating that they are locals, in respect of which, the petitioner stated to have filed a complaint on 01.09.2023. Since the complaint was not taken into consideration, thereby, direction as sought for.

3. Learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) submits that the respondent Police have received the complaint and enquiry is being conducted and the petitioner has failed to appear before the respondent Police for enquiry. 2/4

4. In view of the submissions made by both sides, this petition is disposed of, directing the petitioner to appear before the respondent Police and on such appearance, the respondent Police are directed to complete the enquiry and close the same as quickly as possible not later than two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
