ORDER

This writ petition is filed for a Mandamus directing the second respondent to issue patta in the petitioner's name for his deceased father Sadayandi, S/o.Muniyandi's properties bearing Survey Nos.55/4 with an extent of 0.19.00 acres, 67/4 with an extent of 1-15.50 acres, 56/2 with an extent of 0-64.00 acres and 66/7 pata No.202 situated at Maravar Karisalkulam Revenue Village, Kadaladi Taluk, Ramanathapuram District.

2.It is the case of the petitioner that the aforesaid property originally belonged to his father viz., Sadayandi and patta also stands in the name of his father. After the death of his father, the aforesaid properties are in his possession and enjoyment as he is the only legal heir

of his father. Hence, he made a representation dated 24.08.2024 to the second respondent to issue patta in his name. However, the respondents did not take any steps till date. Hence, the present petition is filed. 3.The learned Government Advocate, on instructions, would submit that the petitioner has not submitted the application online. If the petitioner submits an application online, the same has to be considered within the time stipulated by this Court.

4. Heard the learned counsel on either side.

5.Considering the submission made by the learned Government Advocate, this Court directs the petitioner to made an application online to the respondents within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of such application, the respondents are directed to consider the said application and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six months therefrom.

6.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands allowed. No costs.
