PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to Survey the property comprised in S.No.486/8 and extent of 0.78.0 ares situated in Arasamalai Village, Ponnamaravathi Taluk, Pudukkottai District on the basis of the proceedings of the 1st respondent in O.Mu.No.3137/2022/A5 dated 05.05.2022 within the period stipulated by this Court. The petitioner with a grievance that his application for survey of his land has not been considered by the respondents has approached this Court for a Mandamus, to direct the second respondent to Survey the property, on the basis of the proceedings of the first respondent in O.Mu.No.3137/2022/A5 dated 05.05.2022. 2.Mrs.D.Farjana Ghoushia, learned Special Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents on instructions submits that the petitioner was originally assigned with the land in the year 2006. There was a bifurcation in the year 2014 from Thirumayam to Ponamaravathi, after formation of Ponamaravathi Taluk. Therefore, these changes have not been effected in FMB Sketch. Hence, the learned Special Government Pleader seeks short accommodation to carry out these changes in the FMB Sketch and thereafter the survey would be concluded within eight weeks. 2/4

3.Recording the submission of the learned Special Government Pleader, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to conclude the survey within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
