PRAYER : Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, to direct the Respondent police to expedite the investigate in the case in Crime No. 20 of 2022 on the file of the respondent police and to file a final report within a stipulated period.

O RDER This Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. seeking for a direction to the respondent Police to complete the investigation in Crime No.20 of 2022 on the file of the respondent Police as expeditiously as possible and file a final report before the concerned Court.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, on a complaint given by the petitioner / defacto complainant, the respondent Police have registered FIR in Crime No.20 of 2022, for the offence under Sections 465, 468, 471, 406 and 420 I.P.C on 23.06.2022 and submitted that, in spite of registration of FIR, no substantial progress in the investigation. Therefore, sought for suitable directions.

3. Learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) submits that so far the respondent Police have examined one witness and collected certain documents and that the documents which are disputed have already been submitted to the Forensic Science Laboratory and report is awaited. 2/4

4. In view of the submissions made by both sides, this petition is disposed of, directing the respondent Police to complete the investigation as quickly as possible and file the final report before the concerned Court not later than three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
