PRAYER : Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, to direct the Respondent police to expedite the investigate in the case in Crime No. 24 of 2022 on the file of the respondent police and to file a final report within a stipulated period.

O RDER This Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. seeking for a direction to the respondent Police to complete the investigation in Crime No.24 of 2022 on the file of the respondent Police as expeditiously as possible and file the final report.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, on a complaint given by the petitioner / defacto complainant, the respondent Police have registered FIR in Crime No.24 of 2022 on 26.07.2022 for the offence under Sections 467, 468, 471, 420 and 120B I.P.C. and submitted that, in spite of registration of FIR, no substantial progress in the investigation. Therefore, sought for suitable directions.

3. Learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) after getting instructions from the respondent Police reported that the respondent Police have already examined three witnesses and the rest of the investigation will be completed as quickly as possible and filed the final report before the concerned Court.

Considering the submissions made on either side and on perusal of the records, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of, directing the respondent Police to complete the investigation in Crime No.24 of 2022 and file a final report before the concerned Court within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
