(Order of the Court was made by R.VIJAYAKUMAR,J.) The first respondent in the writ appeal in W.A(MD)No.1152 of 2016 has filed the present review application seeking to review the order dated 02.08.2016 passed by a Co-ordinate Bench.

2. The review applicant herein, who was employed as Village Assistant, was dismissed from service by way of an order dated 23.12.2008. This order was put to challenge by him in W.P(MD)No.9588 of 2010. The said writ petition was allowed by an order dated 05.10.2012. The order of the Writ Court was put to challenge by the Panchayat President in W.A(MD)No.1152 of 2016. The Intra-Court appeal was dismissed by this Court by way of an order dated 02.08.2016 2/5

primarily on the ground that the writ petitioner has been dismissed from service after conducting a departmental enquiry. The present review application has been filed by the writ petitioner on the ground that without conducting an enquiry, he has been dismissed from service.

3. The Block Development Officer, Rajakkamangalam, who is in-charge of the Panchayat, has filed a counter affidavit dated 30.10.2025 to the effect that the writ petitioner has been convicted in criminal case in C.C.No.264 of 2009, on the file of the Judicial Magistrate No.I, Nagercoil on the allegations of misappropriation of Village Panchayat Funds.

4. In view of the subsequent development, we do not find any reason to entertain the review application. The review application stands dismissed. No costs.
