5.The Correspondent Principal, Chettinadu College of Engineering, Karur District, Karur. : Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent herein to hand over the investigation in Crime No.533 of 2016 pending on the file of the Inspector of Police, Pasupathipalayam Police Station, Karur, fourth respondent herein to CBCID not below the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police for a detailed fair investigation and file an unbiased report.

O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking direction to the first respondent herein to hand over the investigation in Crime No.533 of 2016 pending on the file of the Inspector of Police, Pasupathipalayam Police Station, Karur, fourth respondent herein to CBCID not below the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police for a detailed fair investigation and to file an unbiased report. 2.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondents 1 to 4 submitted that on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, the fourth respondent police has registered a case in Crime No.533 of 2016. After registering the FIR, the investigation has been completed and the same was closed as "Action Dropped'' by the fourth respondent. Therefore, nothing survives in this petition.

3.Recording the submissions made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side), this Writ Petition is dismissed as devoid of merits. However, the petitioner is at liberty to file a protest petition, before the concerned jurisdictional Magistrate, in the manner known to law. No costs. Consequently, the connected writ miscellaneous petition is closed.
