For Petitioners : Mr.K.Guhan For Respondents : Mr.D.S.Nedunchezhian Government Advocate COMMON ORDER These writ petitions have been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to issue a Patta forthwith to the petitioners in W.P.(MD)No.554 of 2022 for 911⁄2 cents (Northern side) in Survey No.375, Unjampatti Village, Theni Taluk; and issue a Patta forthwith to the petitioners in W.P.(MD)No.756 of 2022 for 911⁄2 cents (Southern side) in the same Survey No.
375. The petitions also seek a direction to remove the caption "land bought in" by
the Government in the revenue records and to consider the petitioners' representation dated 02.12.2021, respectively.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the parties.

According to the petitioners, the petitioners in W.P.(MD)No.554 of 2022 and W.P.(MD) No.756 of 2022 are the lawful owners of the properties in Survey No.375, Unjampatti Village, Theni Taluk, measuring 911⁄2 cents on the Northern side and 911⁄2 cents on the Southern side, respectively. The petitioners submitted a representation dated 02.12.2021 requesting the respondents to issue Patta in their favor and to remove the caption "land bought in" by the Government in the revenue records. Despite the representation, the respondents have not issued the Pattas, and the entries in the revenue records continue to reflect the caption "land bought in," thereby affecting the petitioners' rights. Hence, the present Writ Petitions.
4. The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the issue raised in the present Writ Petitions is squarely covered by the order passed by this Court dated 08.07.2021, in W.P.(MD)No.7365 of 2009 and 3706 of 2014.
5. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submits that the petitioners' representation will be considered on merits and in accordance with law.

Recording the above submission, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, these writ petitions are disposed of with the following directions:- (i) The respondents shall consider the petitioners' representation dated 02.12.2021 on merits and in accordance with law, and pass appropriate orders after providing a reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioners and any other persons who may be affected by such decision. (ii) The respondents shall also take note of the order passed by this Court on 08.07.2021 in W.P.(MD)Nos.7365 of 2009 and 3706 of 2014. (iii) The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
