ORDER

Heard Mr.V.Muthumani, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.S.Deenadhayalan, learned Standing Counsel for the respondents 1 to 5 and Mr.S.C.Herold Singh, learned counsel for the sixth respondent. 2/6

2. The case of the petitioner is that he had raised an objection for grant of free agricultural service connection on the application made by the 6th respondent. It is also the claim of the petitioner that he had also made an application for free agricultural service connection as early as on 12.04.1996.

3. It is submitted by the learned standing counsel for the respondents 1 to 5 that the Executive Engineer, Dindigul North, Dindigul, is alone the appropriate authority to consider the application of the respective parties and grant service connection to them.

4. Hence, the Executive Engineer, Dindigul North, Dindigul, shall consider the application filed by the petitioner as well as the 6th respondent and take appropriate decision for grant of free agricultural service connection after hearing both the petitioner as well as the 6th respondent. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3/6

5. With the above directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
