and issue patta in the petitioner's name with regard to lands in Survey Numbers S.No.545/1, 548/1A1, and 548/1C1 situated at Perumalkovilpatti, Kollapatti Village, Vedasandur Taluk, Dindigul District based on the petitioner's representation dated 23.04.2018.

ORDER

The petitioner has filed this writ petition to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to cancel the pattas issued to the respondents 3 and 4.

2. It appears that the petitioner's father had purchased the property in the year 1970. However during UDR, patta was changed in the name of Sikkannan, s/o Raju, 3rd respondent herein and in favour of the 4th respondent.

3. The Government has issued G.O.Ms.No.385 Revenue Department, dated 17.08.2004, wherein it has been clarified that for rectification of any defects in the patta granted pursuant to the UDR exercise, same shall be 2/5

decided by the District Revenue Officer. The petitioner has not made the District Revenue Officer as a respondent.

4. This writ petition is disposed by directing the petitioner to file suitable application in accordance with G.O.Ms.No.385 Revenue Department, dated 17.08.2004. The District Revenue Officer, Dindigul is suo motu impleaded as 5th respondent in this writ petition. In case such an application is filed by the petitioner within a period of thirty (30) days from the date of receipt of copy of this order, the 5th respondent shall consider and dispose the same on merits and in accordance with law. It is needless to state before passing any adverse order, the respondents 3 and 4 shall also be heard.
