With the consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner with a grievance that his application for issuance of patta has not been considered has filed this writ petition.

3. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the properties with an extent of 21 acres with several survey numbers and therefore, necessary enquiry has to be conducted and thereafter only, a patta can be issued. He requires minimum period of 6 weeks for taking a decision on the application of the petitioner.

4. Considering the rival submissions made, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to conclude the proceedings as expeditiously as possible, preferrably, within a period of 6 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. NCC : Yes / No.
