2. This writ petition has been filed for a writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to settle the petitioner's Earned Leave Wages for 180 days payable to him with 6% interest.

3. Considering the fact that the petitioner has superannuated as early as on 30.06.2017 and that his application for the grant of wages for 180 days of earned leave is still pending with the respondent, there shall be a direction to the respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 21.03.2025, on merits and in accordance with law, after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
