ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioner challenging the marriage certificate issued by the third respondent dated 18.06.2018.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court. 3.The marriage between the petitioner and the fourth respondent got registered before the third respondent on 18.06.2018. The power of cancellation is not vested with the registering authority. Therefore, the petitioner has to approach the civil Court challenging the registration of marriage. This Court finds no infirmity or illegality in the registration of their marriage by the third respondent. Hence, this Writ Petition is devoid of merits and the same is liable to be dismissed.

4.Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
