ORDER
The writ petition is filed seeking direction to the 1st respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner dated 12.05.2025 and 13.05.2025 within stipulated time.
2. Heard the arguments of Mr.B.Fazilkirmani, learned counsel for the petitioner, and Mr.A.Baskaran, learned Additional Government Pleader, for the respondents. By consent of both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

According to the petitioner, the properties comprised in S.No. 306/1A2B measuring 17 cents, S.No.306/1B2 measuring 27 cents, and S.No.306/1B1 measuring 6 cents, situated at Pallipathu Village, Tiruchendur Taluk, Thoothukudi District, are his ancestral properties. The said properties were wrongly classified as "Natham land," and patta was issued in respect of a portion of the property in favour of Mutharamman Temple. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner submitted an appeal before the first respondent on 12.05.2025 seeking cancellation of Patta issued in favour of the said temple, and reclassification of the subject land. The said appeal has not been considered by the first respondent till date. Therefore, the petitioner has approached this Court.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who takes notice for respondents, would submit that the appeal submitted by the petitioner will be considered in accordance with law.

In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the first respondent is directed to consider the appeal of the petitioner dated 12.05.2025 and pass final orders on its own merits within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after issuing notice to the petitioner, Mutharamman Temple, one Mohan Ram referred to in the writ affidavit, neighbouring land owners and other interested parties. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of.
