This Writ Petition has been filed for directing the Respondent No.2 to take departmental action against the Respondent No.5 and consequently direct the fourth respondent to give adequate police protection to the petitioner's life and her family members. 2.When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondents 1 to 4 submitted that the petitioner has filed this writ petition only to escape from the clutches of law, since the counter party viz., N.Senthilkumar lodged a complaint as against the husband of the petitioner viz., S.Ramalingam. On receipt of the said complaint, the District Crime Branch, Madurai has conducted detailed enquiry and the same was closed on 09.10.2016 and the closure report has also been served to the petitioner's husband.
He further submitted that on the complaint lodged by the petitioner as against the sixth respondent, the fourth respondent has conducted enquiry and the same was closed on 08.12.2016 and closure report has also been served to the petitioner and nothing survives in this petition. 3.Recording the said submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side), the petition is devoid of merits and liable to be dismissed. Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs. Consequently connected writ miscellaneous petitions are closed.
