ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition is filed seeking transfer of investigation in Crime No.328 of 2025, which was registered for the offence under Section 194(1) of BNSS, 2023, from the file of the second respondent to the third respondent alleging that the second respondent is not conducting an effective investigation.
2. According to the petitioner, the deceased had an affair with the accused person; that there are several circumstances to suggest that the deceased had not committed suicide and there is suspicion in the death of the deceased.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor per contra submitted that the investigation conducted so far revealed that the deceased had committed suicide; that they have evidence to establish the same; and that in any case, the second respondent would conduct the investigation in a fair manner and file a final report within a period of eight weeks.

4. In view of the said submission and since the grounds raised for transfer do not merit acceptance, this Court is not inclined to transfer the investigation as prayed for. However, in view of the apprehension expressed by the petitioner, the second respondent shall expedite the investigation, which shall be supervised by the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Dindigul and file a final report within a period of eight (8) weeks from today.
5. With the above observations, the Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
