ORDER

This criminal original petition has been filed seeking orders to direct the second respondent to give necessary police protection to the life and liberty of the petitioner and his family members to the petitioner based on his representation dated 19.09.2024. 2.When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate(Crl.side) appearing for the official respondents would submit that on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner, FIR came to be registered in Cr.No.238 of 2024 invoking the Provisions of SC/ST (POA) Act and subsequently, charge sheet has been filed and the case was taken on file in Spl.S.C.No.25 of 2024 by the learned I Additional District Judge (PCR), Trichy. He would further submit that the petitioner had demanded a sum of Rs.50,000/- from the accused to withdraw the said case and on the basis of the compliant given by one of 2/4

the accused, namely Rajesh, FIR in Cr.No.235 of 2024 came to be registered against the petitioner and that the investigation is pending. 3.Recording the same, the third respondent is at liberty to proceed with the investigation in Cr.No.235 of 2024, in accordance with law.
