ORDER
This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent to grant Electricity Connection to petitioner house situated at Illuppankulam village, Kallikudi Village, Kallikudi Taluk, madurai district based on the representation dated 26.09.2019

The facts as set out in the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition reads as follows:- The petitioner would submit that the property in S.No.60/5, measuring an extent of 10 cents was settled to his wife by the petitioner's father vide Settlement Deed dated 01.02.2017. Thereafter, the petitioner has put up a construction in the subject property and has been paying housing tax regularly. But there is no electricity service connection to the subject property. In this connection, the petitioner has approached the 2nd respondent and sought for electricity service connection to the subject property. The 2nd respondent had directed him to furnish all the relevant documents and the same was also produced by the petitioner. However, no steps had been taken.

3. In this connection, the petitioner has made an application before the 2nd respondent on 20.09.2019 and the same was not acknowledged by the 2nd respondent. Therefore, the petitioner has sent a representation dated 26.09.2019 to the respondents along with the relevant documents and the same has not been considered. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner is before this Court.
4. Mr.S.Deenadhayalan, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 26.09.2019, will be considered and final orders will be passed within the time stipulated by this Court.

In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the 2nd respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 26.09.2019 and pass final orders on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. The writ petition stands disposed of with the above observations. No costs.
