ORDER
The writ petition has been filed for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to take action against third respondent by considering the representation of the petitioners dated 07.09.2016 in respect of disconnection of service connection illegally obtained for the borewell situate in S.No.902/2 and the service connection number 36/31-10-1985 at Palapatti Village, Vedachandur Taluk, Dindigul District.
2. Heard Mr.S.Siva Thilakar, learned counsel for the petitioners, Mr.S.Deenadhayalan, learned Standing Counsel for the respondents 1 and 2 and Mr.S.Sarvagan Prabhu, learned counsel for the third respondent. 2/5
3. Even though the learned counsel for the third respondent had contended that the connection had been granted in the year 1985, the petitioners had only approached this Court in the year 2016. However, considering the fact that the petitioners had made a representation to the second respondent, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 07.09.2016 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after issuing notice to the third respondent.
4. With the above directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
