PRAYER: Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ or Order or Direction more particularly in the nature of WRIT OF MANDAMUS to direct the 1st respondent herein to make proper enquiry and to take appropriate action as against the respondents 2 to 10 herein as mandated under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, by consider the petitioner's representation dated on 17.08.2020, within a time stipulated by this Honourable Court.

ORDER

This petition has been filed to direct the first respondent herein to make proper enquiry and to take appropriate action as against the respondents 2 to 10 herein as mandated under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, by considering the petitioner's representation dated on 17.08.2020.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first respondent submitted that the petitioner had given a complaint against the Assistant Director, Agricultural Department, Tenkasi, and other officials of the 2/4

Department to the Director, Department of Vigilance and Anti-corruption. The same was redirected to the Director of Agriculture, Chepak, Chennai-5. On the basis of the complaint, he initiated the proceedings under 17(b) of Tamil Nadu charge Civil Service (Discipline and Appeal) Rules, against the two officials and the enquiry report yet to be received by the first respondent.

3. In view of the said submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Court hereby issue a direction to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's request after conclusion of the above said disciplinary proceedings if the circumstances warrants so.
