PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st Respondent to conduct the proceedings for impounding the Passport issued to the 2nd respondent in Passport No.M2348970 by the 1st Respondent as a criminal proceedings in Crime Nos.14/2012 in CC 571/2014 and in Crime No.747/2015 pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.1, Tuticorin.

This writ petition is filed for a Mandamus, directing the passport authorities to impound the Passport issued to the second respondent, who has involved in a criminal case, which is pending before the Judicial Magistrate Court No.1, Tuticorin. 2.When this writ petition was taken up for hearing on 11.12.2023, there was no representation for the petitioner. Hence, this writ petition was ordered to be listed today under the caption for dismissal. Even today (13.12.2023), there is no representation for the petitioner.
3.In view of the above, this writ petition is dismissed for non-prosecution. No costs.
