ORDER

The petitioner asserts that the property in S.No.361/1A originally belonged to one Veerasangilli and that the said Veerasangili had 3 sons.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner contends that patta was issued erroneously only in the name of Sundaramurthy. After submitting a representation for the inclusion of the names of the petitioner's father Murugesan in the patta, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. Learned Additional Government Pleader submits that the Revenue Divisional Officer would consider the petitioner's request and pass orders thereon on merits.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner has placed on record patta No. 5969 relating to S.No.361/1A1A of an extent of 4.37 ares. It is stated that the petitioner's grandfather Velu had 3 sons, namely, Veerasangili, Murugesan and Muthusamy. Therefore, it is necessary that notice be issued to the legal heirs of Veerasangili and Muthusami also before taking a decision on the petitioner's request.

Subject to the above observations, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the Revenue Divisional Officer to consider and dispose of the petitioner's request on merits within three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and the pattadar Sundaramurthy. No costs.
