Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (crl.) appearing for the respondents.
2. The petitioner alleges that she has been cheated to the tune of almost a crore of rupees by one Prasanna. She also states that even though she did not appear before the Doctor Mrs.R.Guna Jothi, Assistant Surgeon, G.P.H.C., Melamangalam, Periyakulam, Theni District, life certificate has been issued as if the petitioner appeared before her. Her suspicion is that the doctor's signature and seal could have been forged.

3. Be that as it may, a reading of the petitioner's complaint indicates the commission of cognizable offences. The second respondent is directed to register an FIR based on the petitioner's complaint dated 07.12.2021. Since the petitioner has certain misgivings in this matter, the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Uthamapalayam, is directed to personally monitor the investigation in the matter.
4. This Writ Petition is disposed of on these terms. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
