PRAYER :- For Bail in Cr No.289/2022 on the file of the respondent police.

ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/Accused herein, who was arrested on 09.10.2022 for the alleged offence under Section 489(B) IPC, in Crime No.289 of 2022, on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that on secret information, the respondent Police made a search and caught the accused persons with counterfeit currency notes. Hence, this complaint.

3.On the side of the petitioner it is stated that the petitioner is in custody from 09.10.2022. The petitioner is A1. He is innocent and not committed any offence, as alleged by the prosecution. Hence, prays to release him on bail. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis 1/2

CRL OP(MD). No.18952 of 2022 4.On the side of respondent, it is stated that in this case, there are totally two accused and this petitioner is arrayed as A1. He is having two previous cases, in which, one case is similar in nature. The co-accused/A2 is still in custody. In this case, the investigation is not yet completed. Hence, prays to dismiss the petition.

5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and nature of allegations levelled against the petitioner and the fact that the co-accused is still in custody and that the investigation is still in nascent stage, this Court is not inclined to release the petitioner on bail.

6.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
