ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/Accused, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 21.06.2024 for the offences punishable under Sections 8(c), 22(c), 24 & 25 of Narcotic 1/4

Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, in crime No.339 of 2024, on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2.Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the material records of the case.

3.When the matter came up for hearing, it is represented by the learned counsel for the respondent that they have installed the CCTV Cameras and it will store information up to a period of one year and the same is recorded. 4.As far as the prayer for the petitioner is concerned, they learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the investigation is still under progress. There has been money transactions and the petitioner herein had also switched off her mobile phone for a period of five days prior to the occurrence. 5.According to the prosecution, the petitioner was also travelling in the motorcycle, while it is the contention of the learned Counsel for the petitioner that they picked the petitioner from her home. But at this stage, the veracity of the allegations one way or the other cannot be gone into. When the recovery is a huge 2/4

quantity of 7.9 kilograms of methamphetamine (50 grams itself being the commercial quantity) and when the investigation is pending, unless and otherwise the truth relating to the entire episode is unearthed, the petitioner cannot be enlarged on bail.
