ORDER

The writ petition has been filed in the nature of Mandamus seeking direction against the respondents to grant ordinary leave for 40 days without escort to the husband of the petitioner the prisoner Babu, S/o. Thangapandian, Convict No.2904 who is now detained at Central Prison, Palayamkottai.

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor forwarded a copy of the proceedings dated 11.10.2024 issued by the first respondent in No.659/cj.2/2024 wherein ordinary leave for a period of 28 days had been granted, but, however providing escort.

3. In view of the proceedings issued by the first respondent the writ petition does not survive any more and the same stands disposed of.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner however stated that the petitioner still had a grievance over the direction to provide escort. If that be the case the petitioner may question it in the appropriate manner.
