O R D E R
[Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.] The relief sought for in this writ petition is to forbear the respondents 1 to 4 from allowing the respondents 5 to 9 doing fishing activities in Y.Pudupatti Kanmai, comprised in Survey No 74/1 of Y.Pudupatti Village, Arumbanur Post, Madurai East Taluk, Madurai District, based on the petitioner's representation dated 23.06.2025
2. Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 4, based on the instructions given by the Assistant Director, Fisheries Department, submitted that a tender-cum-auction was conducted on 10.07.2025 and one Mr.Selvam became the successful bidder and lease has been executed for a period of three years.
3. In view of the above submission, no illegal fishing activities are carried on in the subject tank. However, the authorities concerned are bound to ensure that no illegality in fishing rights is committed by any person.
4. With the above observation, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
