PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant permission to perform the "Adal Padal" cultural program on 27.10.2022 night at about 6.00 p.m. To 11.00 p.m at Sivagamipuram Village, Arulmigu Sri Kaliyamman Temple, Sivakasi Taluk, Virudhunagar District ant to provide adequate police protection based on Petitioner's representation dated 14.10.2022.

O R D E R

The Petitioner has filed this Writ Petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant permission to perform the "Adal Padal" cultural program on 27.10.2022 night at about 6.00 p.m. To 11.00 p.m at Sivagamipuram Village, Arulmigu Sri Kaliyamman Temple, Sivakasi Taluk, Virudhunagar District and to provide adequate police protection based on Petitioner's representation dated 14.10.2022.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor objects for grant of permission for "Adal Padal" Program, stating that the Petitioner representation shows that he seeks permission for "Adal Padal" Program on 27.10.2022 with regard to the temple festival of Sivagamipuram Village, Arulmigu Sri Kaliyamman Temple, Sivakasi Taluk, Virudhunagar District. He submits that on verification of Police, it is found that it is a personal family function, not related to the temple. Therefore, the second respondent refused. 3.In view of the above, this Court directs the Writ Petitioner to give a fresh representation with true cause of action to the first and second Respondents and on receipt of the same the first and second Respondents are directed to pass appropriate orders on it.
