PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to produce the person or body of the petitioner's son, namely, Rangesh, aged about 20 years, S/o.Arumugam, before this Court and set him at liberty.

The petitioner seeks production of the person of his son, namely, Rangesh, aged about 20 years. According to the petitioner, his son went missing on 02.12.2021. The complaint was lodged with the respondent police on 03.12.2021. Claiming that the police have not acted upon the complaint, the petitioner has approached this Court by way of filing this Habeas Corpus Petition. 2.Mr.T.Senthil Kumar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents, upon instructions, would submit that the detenue had surrendered before the All Women Police Station, Aranthangi along with one Arockiya Madhana. It appears that they have also got married.

H.C.P.(MD) No.1940 of 2021 3.Considering the fact that the son of the petitioner / detenue is a major, we do not find any illegal custody. This Habeas Corpus Petition is, therefore, dismissed.
