Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the constitution of India, seeking for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents 2 to 5 to protect petitioner's worship rights to pray the Lord Pommaiya Swami during the festival dated 28.08.2025 and 29.08.2025 consequently direct the fifth respondent to give police protection to the petitioner and his family members.

ORDER

The petitioner has approached this Court seeking protection of petitioner's worship rights to pray the Lord 2/6

Pommaiya Swami during the festival dated 28.08.2025 and 29.08.2025 and consequently direct the fifth respondent to give police protection to the petitioner and his family members to offer their prayer.

2.Though the petitioner has made several allegations in the petition, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner confined his relief of granting permission to offer his prayer in the subject temple, on 28.08.2025 and 29.08.2025.

3.The learned Government Advocate(Crl.side) appearing for the fifth respondent as well as the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 4 have raised serious objection that the petitioner is a trouble monger, creating problem in the village.

4.Considering the limited prayer now sought for by the petitioner that he and his family members must be permitted to offer their prayer in the temple during festival on 28.08.2025 and 29.08.2025, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent Police to ensure that the the petitioner and his family members are also permitted to offer their prayer during temple festival on 28.08.2025 and 29.08.2025. No costs.
