O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the first respondent not to harass the petitioners under the guise of an enquiry pursuant to the complaint given by the fourth respondent.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the first to third respondents, on instructions, would submit that, on the complaint given by the fourth respondent before the third respondent in C.S.R.No.308 of 2024, an enquiry was conducted and closed on 25.09.2024 pursuant to an amicable settlement arrived at between the parties; that in the present complaint addressed to the first respondent, an enquiry is being conducted to ascertain as to whether any cognizable offence is made out; and that the petitioners would not be harassed by the respondent police in any manner.

3. In view of the above submissions, the first to third respondents shall not harass the petitioners under the guise of an enquiry. If the petitioners' presence is required, the first to third respondents shall issue Page No. 2 of 4

summons to them. The first to third respondents shall conduct the enquiry and take a decision within a period of two weeks, taking into consideration the closure of the earlier complaint. At this stage, the learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that both the petitioners would appear before the first respondent on 22.09.2025 for enquiry.

4. With the above observations, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
