This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the first and second Respondent police to grant police protection for the life and limb of the Petitioner.

The learned Counsel for the Petitioner submitted that the Petitioner's father late Alagarsamy had purchased property in Athipatti, Aruppukottai Taluk, Virudhunagar District through registered sale deed on 26.03.1917. He would further submit that he had been issued patta after the death of the Petitioner's father. The Petitioner is the legal heir who succeeded to the same. The Petitioner had furnished copy of the death certificate of his father Alagarsamy.

3.The learned Government Advocate(Crl.Side) would submit that based on the CSR they conducted enquiry and only in the enquiry it came to light the third Respondent had already filed a Writ Petition in WP(MD) No.10494 of 2021.

4. The learned Counsel appearing for the third Respondent would submit that the third Respondent is the Panchayat Clerk. He claim that he is also having share in the property and therefore regarding patta transfer they had approached the District Revenue Officer. The District Revenue Officer had passed order against the third Respondent. Against which he had approached this Court by way of Writ Petition in W.P(MD) No.10494 of 2021 and it is still pending.

5. In the light of the above, in the light of the submission made by the learned Government Advocate(Crl.side) and on the basis of the statement recorded by the second Respondent, the second Respondent is directed to provide protection to the Petitioner.
