PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a writ of Mandamus directing the third respondent to pass appropriate order on the report submitted by the fourth respondent in Na.Ka.No.216/2018/E3, dated 21.07.2022 and 1/4

consequently, direct the fourth respondent to issue joint patta in the name of the petitioner, V.M.Vellaichamy and Ammani for the property situated in Natham Old S.No.55, New S.No.490/22, Soliappagoundanur, Jothipatti Village and Post, Palani Taluk, Dindigul District. With the consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner is a senior citizen and his grievance is that the application submitted by him for issuance of patta is lying with the Revenue Divisional Officer from 21.07.2022.

3. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that based on the application of the petitioner, the Tahsildar has conducted an enquiry and submitted the records before the Revenue Divisional Officer for passing necessary orders and request some more time for passing final orders.

4. Considering the fact that the application is pending from 21.07.2022, the petitioner is aged about 82 years and the enquiry has also been concluded, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the third respondent the Revenue Divisional Officer to conclude the proceedings by passing necessary orders within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. NCC : Yes / No.
